Surge Screws
on: May 07, 2010, 02:15:32 AM
Finally picked up a Surge. When I first got this thing, the plier pivot screws stood out like turds in a punchbowl to me. Maybe it is just me, but, the ridges were not that appealing and didn't seem flow with the rest of the design. I wanted a clean, more streamlined look. So, while I have other mods in mind, this one absolutely had to come first. Anyway, I already like it much, much more. Now I can start with the other mods.....

On the left is the stock screw. On the right is the modified screw.....

Someone at Leatherman spent a lot of time and money getting just the right screw for you to turn down.   ;)

But I agree, it looks like something from the 50's that should be chromed.

lol, funny you should say that. It actually reminds of a man with spectacles and a mustache. Perhaps even a little Jamie Hyneman-ish from Mythbusters? lol
