FSOT Atwood Wingnut
on: May 14, 2010, 07:47:55 PM
I have a brand new Atwood wingnut that I just bought, but it was kind of an impulse buy and I don't think I'll ever use it.  I would like to trade it for something I will use.  PM me with offers, I am not extremely particular, but key items that will take the cake are: Maxped regular Fatboy(any color except khaki), Leatherman ST300, Stainless PE spiderco knives, and pretty much any Maxped bag of reasonable size.  I think the Lunada and malaga look pretty cool, and I have never tried them.

I think the tool is worth around $70 USD, but I will sell it for $65 shipped CONUS.

This is also posted on EDCF.

I was hoping to snag a Wingnut, would come in use for somethings  :-X I do have an ST300, needs to be cleaned up a little bit. You know, some flitz to make her shine again  :P She is a tough tool, she tears through bailing wire at work like nobody's business.

Could you send some pics of the ST300?  I am not a collector so it's gonna get used anyway. BTW, I know the struggle, luckily my permanent (if a multi can be) back up multi is my blast.  I have put this thing through hell and I have yet to find a more perfect model for me to carry.  I will always own one.

The ST300 is about new, I have only used it like 5 times or so. Yea I can get pics but it probably won't be till later tonight. It's a great tool but..... I can't carry it cause it's too heavy for what I consider an EDC tool. It is a beautiful piece of engineering though. I really think I am going to trade it to you if your going to be interested after the pics.

Sounds good to me.  I can get the wingnut out tomorrow morning if you decide you want to trade.  Like I said above, it is brand new without a mark on it.  I tested the fit on a 9/16 bolt and turned it once just to get a feel for it.

Cool - I love watching people's deals unfold. It's a kind of voyeurism I guess, but it's definitely interesting to watch :D
I used to come here a lot.

It's so ironic cause GG and I were just talking and I mentioned how I wanted a WingNut and how I was disappointed when it got snatched up. Interesting how things unfold indeed!  :D

I guess it's lucky that I'm so impulsive!  I was tossing around the idea of a ST300 when I ordered my Powerlock on tuesday.  I wanted both but didn't have the cash for both.  Thanks for the trade David!

I just put my Powerlock 2.0 into duty where the ST300 went, would like to see how it performs more anyways.

I am thoroughly enjoying my new Powerlock, and I can't wait to try the ST300.  BTW, your wingnut is in the mail, enjoy!

I used my PL2.0 to fix a broken plug on one of the mart carts at work yesterday. It did a darn good job with unscrewing, cutting wiring and even splicing to reattach stuff. I think some alone time with the 2.0 is all I need to see is a great tool. 666? The mark of the beast? I would rather not go there  :o

Yea, I used my PL to fix a digital safe at the Hotel yesterday.  It tore through the job with ease.  It really is a great tool.  I am starting to thing that it will be on a constant rotation with the ST300, as I really see myself using it a lot.  BTW, my PL came with the old plier head, old locks, and gear covers.  This was the new one that Amazon stocks.  I guess they are behind the times?  I think I like it better with the old locks, the Piano locks look to hard to operate.
