Yet another light reccomendation
on: May 17, 2010, 05:58:44 AM
I work one job at night in a place that has way too many elecrical problems :)  The lights have gone out more than once while I've been there and luckily I have 2 below-par lights and a headlamp.  But I am looking for something to really get the job done.  My spec needs are-

- 250+ lumens
- A low mode with looooong runtime
- Not toooo heavy as i might take it camping/hiking
- I don't really mind what cell it is, and body style doesn't really matter.
- water"proof" is good, but not a deal breaker

Right now I have my sights on an Olight m20s-

But that 600 hour low mode sounds too good to be true

How about Fenix TA21. You have the option to use either 2 x CR123 lithium primary or 1 x 18650 lithium ion. Using 18650 and on the lowest setting of lumens 4 lumens the runtime is 215 hours.

That would be a good choice :)

If you were happy to go for a torch with around 200 lumens, your option's would really open up, as most Fenix's, Nitecore's ect fall in that catagory :)
Give in, buy several Farmer's!!!!!!

that's a lot of modes :o
Thanks for the suggestion

I work at a tennis club, mostly indoor but a few duties outdoor, so a lot of light has to be provided for certain areas like the indoor courts.  So I wanted a MASSIVE amount of power, and I just want a cool new toy that will amaze me every time I turn it on :)

I was cruising the Olights and I've become very interested in what they offer.  Does anyone know if the M20s really can stay on low for 600hrs?
