Is anybody a fan of these SAK pliers?  What are they good for?

They are no substitute for LM pliers (SwissTool pliers).  That's it.  No comparison.

However, they work well in electronics and small electrical applications.  Pulling fuses, Pulling connectors.  That sort of thing.  The crimper works well on those bullet connectors.

They basically function well in small applications.

Also good for big splinters and cactus attacks ;)

Very handy for pulling apart knots as well.  But no, they're not in the same league as the pliers on the larger tools.
I'm not taking any more mod orders at present, sorry.

I use them mostly as really strong tweezers.

That's what I was gonna say...they make awesome tweezers.  Can't beat the pliers based MT's, but they are neat little tools.  And so shiny!!

What about Squirt P4 pliers.SAK pliers vs Squirt P4 pliers is it same or LM Squirt P4 pliers more tough than SAK?I so like Squirt P4,especially pliers, very useful, don't know about SAK pliers.

P.S. So LM have great minitool/keychain like Squirt P4.What have Victorinox with same size (like Squirt P4) + pliers?

I don't have a P4.  I have an E4.  While it's a good wire stripper, the plier tips are essentially useless because they flex too much.

The Juice pliers are more versatile than the SAK ones, but the drivers on the Juice leave a LOT to be desired.

If I need pliers, I don't reach for a SAK with pliers

They take up an awful lot of space for a set of tweezers. :)

Given the option I'd take the pliers on a P4 over the ones on a SAK.  That's mainly due to the way they sit in the hand in use.  The pliers are most often found on larger SAKs and the additional weight/bulk in hand makes them (for me) harder to use.

Forceps more than tweezers , they are probably pretty hard to break . They aren't however pliers . I'm kinda fond of them .

Yup. My opinion too.  Great for those little Hard Drive jumpers.

That's pretty much my take on it, however, I managed just fine using the pliers on my Swisschamp for years before I owned a Leatherman - so they can't be that bad! For light work like undoing small nuts etc - they work just fine :tu:

I used to come here a lot.
