That's only because they have been manufacturing items from hardened monkey droppings for as long as I can remember. Def
I can't. The forum censor won't let me. Remember, this is the company that makes a folding plier tool, that is actually issued to the Australian military, that Bob was able to crush in his bare hands. The same tool that is so poorly made, blades have been bent to fit into the handles.Def

Which is why, lately, there have been efforts by forum members to educate/guide/discuss the use of multitools by the emergency services and the army ..
Imagine how you would feel if your kid joined the military and you found out he or she was being deployed to a tense combat area and this is the level of quality typical of the equipment he or she was issued. It's one thing to market a bad tool to the public. It's bad because someone could get hurt, but it was their choice not to spend the money on a decent tool. It's another thing entirely to send a platoon of soldiers out into the field with a tool that you know is inferior. This is why I believe that everyone involved with selling and purchasing these junks of cap for military use should:A) be charged with treasonB) be charged with accessory to murder for every troop who did not come home as a result of crappy issue equipment. I'll bet we would see a much better definition of "Milspec" if such a policy were adopted.Def
Taylor isn't the only one. I have a fair amount of hatred for United and other companies that claim quality despite being utter crap as well... You expect crap from crappy companies and that's fine, they are what they are. It's when they promote themselves as a premium, military quality tool when what they are is a crappy third rate marketer buying crap from a fourth rate manufacturer.I enjoy the rants too.... Def

Well, I for one am glad a Gerber forum exists here. Or am I? My first Gerber was also my first trade, an MP450 from Mercury. Look what that thing caused. On second thought, damn you Grant Lamontagne!

I just do not get it.People that have been a big part of the forum, enjoyed themselves, helped, then became busier or/and less interested and left the forum, without previously having an argument with anybody here but can not find the time to post once every year, month etc.. Even people that were moderators/administrators etc.Too busy, no interest in the topic at all, joined other forums, have no internet, worry that they will spend money by browsing new things in the forum, forced to leave, too many men, too few women?? The forum covers, tools, watches, gadgets, outdoor, cars, women, men, photography, news... they must be at least one topic of interest to them.....
