Viking or early Spartan?

I was looking at SAK wiki's Spartan entry and I notice they said early versions of the Spartan came without the toothpick and tweezers.  It says that was a 1985 model and I think I got my Viking after 1990, but is there a way to know for sure?  Is there a year/stamp anywhere on a Wegner, like the year stamps on Leatherman MT's or the model number stamped on X-Tract blades?
