THEORY!!!!Maybe they're not just doing away with the Surge, but possibly in the works, a "SURGE 2.0" to replace it?

I'm sure I'll catch hell for this, but I think the surge was done wrong. Instead of making a huge wave with beefed up implements, Leatherman instead made this combination of heavy duty and medium/light duty implements. The surge didn't work for me because while it was suitable in some respects(heavy pliers, knife blades, and some nice scissors), other implements like the bit driver setup and the blade exchanger thing were not tough enough to be on such a tool. I don't even know why the eyeglass screwdriver was there. To me, it offered little too little over the wave for it's size and the core was a better heavy use tool.If leatherman was to make a surge 2.0 here's what I think needs to be done. Take the standard surge frame with the supertool 300 pliers head. Use the exact outside blade configuration found on the wave. Replace the eyeglass screwdriver with the medium flat head from the core(or something similar), the large bit driver with a phillips screwdriver, and the can opener with a small screwdriver. If a person want scissors, the awl could be dropped for that. Maybe my idea is too radical, but I think if the surge is to be considered a heavy duty multitool, this setup might make more sense.
