Nice work. Making liners is a real PITA but very satisfying. What thickness brass do you use?

18 gauge for the CT and pliers liner and 20 for the rest. That is as close to the original I could find.

No collars or glue used. 194 grams for the brass and 152 grams for the original CT 34.

Beautiful. Brass is nice for liner.
I remember when I did mine and  all I had was Dremel so it took hours just to cut and shape it.

I can't believe I lived without one for so long. I got a 50 and a 180 belt 4 x 36. What grits do you have?

Even a little 1" x 30" belt sander is very handy.  I use up to 600 grit aluminium oxide belts on mine.

Mostly I use 120 zirconia belts (the blue ones). I highly recommend them, they last twice as long as the common ones for marginally more cost.

Supergrit is THE best place to by anything abrassive.  Great service, selection and prices.

A common mod people do to that grinder is to remove some of the metal frame on one or both side near the bottom, to allow getting into tighter spots if you know what I mean.  I use a 1x30 for that, but the bigger one has more power and Ive been meaning to do that.

I use the 4x36 every day. The only mod I did to is was to remove all the plastic front and install a metal catch pail under that I fill with water.  I started so many fires grinding Ti, that its nice to have the hot stuff go right into water.
