Voetsak: I think there'a no hook because it has the long nail file :P

Correct lol. Was waiting to see if anyone noticed that the scissors were coming out of the blade end. Well spotted sir!

LOL. After I posted my reply I thought you should have known this. And of course you did.
That explains why your fingers covered the cutout in the liner exactly.
You should seriously visit vicfan.com. All the hoopy froods are doing it.

Finally done with my Whittling Cadet! It has gone through Whittling Recruit v1 to 5 and now i got to put some nice alox sides on it!

This version was excluding a wood saw. 84 mm with five layers was kinda bulky  :)

Sidenote: does anyone else have rights problems posting from tapatalk app?

That looks really good. Any chance of a shot with tools open?

And who peened it?

 :like:
Sure! I peened it myself, I'm not much of a good one and this one I was so careful that I ended up with huge "hats"

The chisels are large and small, one concave and one straight of each.

My latest is this minty fresh Wenger Monarch with original box.  Front scale has a tiny scuff on it, but otherwise this thing is pristine.  Still has a light sheen of oil on several of the tools!  Vic is still my favorite manufacturer of SAKs, but I've really taken a liking to these compact, feature-rich Wenger knives.

Just got my hands on a smooth red Cadet II this week... With 2 escorts, one in 74 and the other in 58.

Just got my first Alox. It's a brand new Pioneer. I like t because it is very close in lineage to the originals, and because of the metal scales.

Quite a bit more robust than cellidor, and the blade and tools all seem just a little more robust as well. Thicker-spined blade, more full bellied and a hair longer. Bottle opener seems slightly bigger, too. Plus a more resounding "sssnikt and sssnakt" when opening or closing the tools.

I'm guessing the backspring won't tolerate having more than one tool on a spring being opened at a time, but otherwise, I love it.

I'll be placing my BSA black Tinker back onto the Black and Decker workmates and will be carrying this new silver Alox Pioneer for the foreseeable

Congrats on your first Alox! Welcome to this new rabbit hole :D

For my part I got a new Victorinox Jetsetter

It's not really a knife as the only blades are the scissors...

Also got some of their newest pins. (also shown in daylight pics with the other SAK-related pins I have)

While I was at it, also made a custom Escort... No pics though
