Not a SAK per se, but related. Preordered it back in March, the first one got lost on the way. Got another one, finally it's here. Very nice quality, and the content looks interesting too, at least at first glance.

Hmm. That might just supplant my Scout Handbook, which has pretty much been my bible when it comes to survival and bushcraft-type stuff.

I was in the Pacific Northwest last weekend, and walked into a single-location outdoor store.  In the way back of the knife case, I saw a Wenger Minathor that had obviously been languishing in the knife case.  A search for the original box turned up two more in storage under the display.  As far I can tell from the Wiki, they are untouched and complete, but without the original boxes.  One has the stainless scales, one has the Classic scales and one has the Evo scales.  The Classic and Evo scales were the ones in storage, so the scales look great.  And the Stainless is in fine condition too.  Other than peeling off the price stickers, these are in as-found condition.  I did a deal for all three knives, because how could you not?  I'm not sure what they are worth, so I'm happy to be educated here by those who know more.  I'm not the world's biggest fan of the specialty Wenger line, but I've always thought the watch-specific models were cool.

Awesome catch!

The stainless one is absolutely stunning! On the swiss market you could probably sell it for 250 or 300$.

My latest SAKs are the 2017 and 2019 limited edition cadets. I also started adding lanyards to my knives recently. The ones here have gold beads, and wooden beads blessed by monks in Tibet. I took both from a couple of old bracelets.

Nice. I think it looks awesome when you have a matching lanyard. Do you make paracord lanyards?

Bummer...jet is blocked. Sat unused for 15yrs and even with a full tank of butane just added (only a tiny bubble in the window), no gas releasing when trying to fire it up.  :(

Anyone know how to remove the jet to clean it?  :dunno:

Edit: found this suggestion online for butane lighters: “...Press the plastic nozzle extension tube attached to a can of compressed air against the lighter gas outlet valve. Hold the canister plunger down for one or two seconds...Refill the lighter with triple-refined butane gas, and test.”

It is a bummer. Does not appear to be an easy repair. The pizzo wire prevents the removal of the nozzle assembly and the whole thing is assembled with the brass rods through the mechanism, so the SAK would need disassembly. Will be a shelf queen until I get the urge to take apart, maybe.  :dunno:

The good news is that I picked up a couple of other beauties from this seller...an unused Mini Tool, 20th anniversary unused Wave and leather pouch, an original SwissChamp SOS (with 1st gen SwissChamp) and a SwissChamp Timekeeper SOS kit, both unused. So I can’t complain too much

Pics of all these to follow (before someone roasts me with with a comment).

So wonderful. It’s my grail. I remember being in a Victorinox store about 10 years back, and they had one on display. I just stood at stared at it for about a half hour. Then left and came back to stare at it for another half hour. Couldn’t afford it, but managed to walk out with my first SwissChamp.

Then left and came back to stare at it for another half hour. Couldn’t afford it, but managed to walk out with my first SwissChamp.

It was unexpected. I met the seller to look at some Leathermans he was advertising, and he suddenly put these two tattered SOS kit boxes and SwissFlame on the table and said “I don’t know if you’d be interested in these...they’ve been in my desk for 20 years and I’ve never used them...”. You can image how I tried not to faint on the spot. I acted all casual...and said ”...maybe, let’s see if we can do a deal on the MiniTool and Wave anniversary you have first...let’s put the Swiss Army Knives in the ‘C’ pile for now”.  Needless to say, best poker face ever, and the ‘C’ pile was indeed bought, for less than a couple new SwissCamps.  :woohoo:
