Hmm now that would be a cool project for a hercules, to see how thin it could be made and not lose anything.  I can drop the two outer liners if I go with thin 0.60 Ti scales, and replace the existing liners with thinner Ti as well.  I think that would be enough to be noticeable.
It'd be even nicer for something like a Work Champ!

I still have this fantasy of getting a Work Champ XL and paring it down to a usable and unique tool.

I was thinking too, that the 111 mm clip point blade would be a nice addition to my standard Hunter that has had a scissors/phillips layer added to it.  It's my favorite outdoors SAK, even more than my PER Ranger 179 (which is my 2nd favorite outdoors SAK).

Robert, when you get those scales up and going, I'm very interested in some, but I'd prefer aluminum rather than Ti.  Don't think I'll be able to afford them in Ti.
The first Noble Truth: life is suffering.  Only by accepting that fact can we transcend it.

Just got a Spartan ALGOA. That's ALGOA, not ALCOA. They're a South African oil and pipeline company. I picked it up because how often do you see a SAK from Africa?

I have the same book, it's very analytical about the history of the knives.

That's a very cool Treasurer/Prince/Cavalier variation Marios! A horn scaled 74mm model is exactly what is missing in my collection :P

You are right about the description.
I also don't know if it is a Cavalier or Treasurer model.

Nope. This one goes to my "not for sell" collection. 8)
After all, i only have three SAK's with horn scales.
One is the Spartan of 1943, the other is a SwissChamp and the third one is this knife. :D

Got a couple new black Alox in a trade with armee-suisse.  :mail:

I think they'll make a great matching EDC  :D

They also got to hang out with their new friend, the Spirit

(Note how the lock release on the spirit has turned black, not sure why, and only on this one out of my three, on both lock releases )

Well, I have decided to switch out my EDC for the last 2 years (ribbed alox Cadet) to carry these two.  Kind of surprised me how much I like the combo, as I am somewhat reluctant to change things and I like my tools in small packages.  (now that didn't come out right....   :o  :D)

At the suggestion of Nuphoria in my thread from a few weeks ago, I got a McGizmo clip for the classic and it is now on my keys.

I had forgotten how much I enjoy the 93mm size.  I like the broadness of the blade, and it is nice that it is long enough to cut up an apple without getting the juice in the pivot.

The classic is slim and lets me keep the nail file, which will be missed from the Cadet. I also like having the scissors available.

I'm really looking forward to getting some wear on the scales of both.  Worn alox is just
