Here are my latest acquisitions.

Spartan "Lion of Lucerne" from Marios (thank you again Marios!)
Yeoman in excellent shape.
Vintage Red Pioneer and  Dark Blue  Pioneer "Confederatio Helvetica" (both from Jan, thank you Jan!)

Collection still growing  :climber:

The red pioneer is just

I really need to get an old red cross pioneer or farmer.  Its just that people are crazy on prices on ebay for these older ones.

Perhaps we should start a "horn scaled SAK" thread
That's a very good idea. :tu:
After all, the horn scaled SAK's are my favorites.

It's that stuff that most people here swap for more SAKs.

So that picture is a SAK and a "Potential SAK".

Actually, I find the scissors on large Vics rather small. They're the same as the ones used for 91mm.

Just in from Europe:

RangerGrip 88 Bulgarian Mountain Rescue Service. The actual color is a dark orange rather than the yellow showing up in the photo.

Did some horse-trading with basilio. Thanks again Carlo.  :tu:

Which multitools have bigger scissors?  After using a Spirit X, Leatherman Squirt PS4 and Charge they feel huge to me.

The Outrider rocks!  One of my very favorite SAKs!

Brass liners? Big "V" or little "V" in "Victorinox"? You would expect to see an unpolished caplifter from a 70s alox knife, but the wire stripper cut into the cap lifter is something that usually only shows up on "Elinox" stamped knives from the 60s and early 70s. Soldiers kept the wire stripper until 1993, but with a different caplifter - thicker than the std alox version, and lacking the "wire bender".

"V" is the same size as the rest and brass liners. It has nothing on the back tang.

Then yeah, I'd say it was from the 70s. The polished caplifter is unusual, but not impossible.

I've seen the old cross electrician with soldier blades dated in the late 90's, so it could be fairly recent.

The only thing that may indicate its older that I know about is the wire scraper in the cap lifter.  The way its ground, though, makes me wonder if it was done by a previous owner. The grind seems to stop abruptly, which is different from the soldiers and pioneers I've seen.

Still a nice knife, whatever its age :tu:

EDIT:  It didn't register that you said brass liners.  Definitely not a later one.  I've never heard of the small "V" thing before.  Does anyone have any pics of the variation and the date ranges of them?
