Ah no, but I've always fancied one of those :D

To quote the late, great Mr Adams:
“The Hitch-Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy also mentions alcohol. It says that the best drink in existence is the Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster, the effect of which is like having your brains smashed out with a slice of lemon wrapped round a large gold brick.”

I just got this one.  :D

It's a special execution model for a local marine outdoor company here in Japan. The official model number is 0.8463.MW.R2R according to this. It's simply an OHT with blue cross and shield scales. Nice!  :)

Yeah, the Helmsman (a.k.a Mariner) and the Skipper are the ones that come in this blue 111 mm scales. Both of these knives have side-locking, non-OH blades.

This one shares the same scales but is actually a One Hand Trekker/Trailmaster. The saw makes this tool out of place in modern fishing vessels, in my opinion.

That's very nice indeed :tu:

A two knife deal off a local seller, which I got for the opening bid of $15   :2tu:

firstly this colourful little Classic SD

and the main course

A 87 Vic' Soldier with WK stamp. Overall in nice condition but with a broken awl.

I'm sure I'll be able to dig up an awl from somewhere to fix it.
Replacing the hollow rivet might be a pain.

Or convert the awl to a fine screwdriver.

Just got home after work and found this little beauty on the kitchen table!

Great service from Felinevet at EDCSource, very well done  :tu:

It shall be sent to syph007 for modding shortly.

Great, so the 50 pcs Limited Edition will be 49 pcs LE Edition ;)

I won't do this if I were you. You can find all tools in less collectible SAKs, even the marlinspike. And the scales could be new and redone with HAIII by Syph in a beautiful blue. Don't kill this LE. Get another custom along with it.

Sorry mate, don't mean to upset anyone, but I'll never sell the knife and so the "limited addition" aspect of it doesn't bother me too much. It's a nice knife and I'm hoping it will be a nicer "modded limited addition" that I can carry and enjoy using. It's not going to be a draw queen, it's hopefully going to get plenty of pocket time in the wilds of BC, Canada  :)

Now if I could get two of those and have a master sandwich maker close by, I would be in business.

No problem at all. Personally I'd use a perfect LE just fine but while keeping it in its original LE configuration. Unless I won't like that LE too much or I'd want a single "perfect" EDC.

Just a side comment - HAIII wears much better than Vic's anodizing. If you like the blue scales to stay blue for longer while being carried and used. Incidentally Siph's blue HAIII is also gorgeous

A happy SAK is a used one, keeping them in draws just makes them sad

It's like keeping a racehorse in it's stables, you wouldn't do it. An SAK's sole purpose in life is to be used and enjoyed by it's owner  :salute:

I just decided what I'm going to ask from Robert for my Harvester, as soon as I might finance it with ease.
What's your opinion? Could we stick a pliers there or it would become very fat for a pocket?

Hey! I can read that language!

A fine knife that Mike Horn. How does it feel at hand?
Since it is quite expensive, does it have a chance against a Multitool such as a Leatherman Surge?

Like all ranger models it feels quite good; it feels smaller than it looks.
I posted more about it in the "Love for Wenger" thread.

I went to the Victorinox Outlet Store (again :) ) this evening:

I didn't buy anything! Still the same cool stuff they had a couple of months ago (Classic Zodiac series, all of the 58mm RocKnives, several DeLuxe SAKs (including one with Vic shield!), Mother of Pearl Ambassador and Spartan, Horn scaled Spartans and a number of stainless steel 74mm models).

Had a little chat with the same guy that sharpened my CyberTool blade on his sharpmaker last time I was there. Don't think he recognized me though.

Anywayssss..... when I got home this little fellow was waiting for me, a near-mint red alox Executive  8)

You should seriously visit vicfan.com. All the hoopy froods are doing it.
