ebay price not as good as forum price;  Cool idea for the new forum though.

I'm surprised they could do the custom packaging,  must be printed on some inkjet, laser. or film printer used for samples.

First thing I would do is remove the silk screening with orange oil ;D

Sent from my Galaxy Note II

Your kidding about the orange oil?

Just asking cos there's a set of scales I'd like to remove some printing from

Nah, not joking. I have removed all types of screen printing from plastic with it. Sometimes it requires the oil to remain on the paint for a little time. The paint type and thickness will dictate how long, and how much rubbing you have to do. I use Q-tips that are dipped and then work them in circular motion on the screen printing area. I myself have never had to resort to soaking in it to remove the paint and haven't ruined a peace of plastic yet  :D

I have gnomes in Zurich.  ;)

They need to get on the ball and start producing like jaydar.

Actually: ebay, including various European versions; online dealers in the US and Europe; a long-time SAK dealer back in the mid-Atlantic who let me dig around his back room (now long gone); gun and knife shows; various trips to Europe, including a very productive one to Switzerland.

Not productive: US flea markets, antique malls, and house sales (a total bust).

After much thought, a few polls and sporadic advice, here it is, my new perfect urban EDC, pocket friendly SAK that will complement my Minichamp and substitute the heavies (Leatherman Surge and Victorinox XLT) and occasionally rotate with the Harvester and other mediums.
A Victorinox Mountaineer with special Soft Ruby Plus scales.

Blue Outrider, I still like this tool combination.  The drivers folding under the other tools was a very cool inovation from Victorinox.  Does anyone have any information on where this idea originated, some Vic employee maybe?

Nice, I like the red :tu:

+1  :tu: by the way, going off topic a little bit, talking about red, anyone knows if the South African Red is the regular red? Or is different variation? Thanks!

That climber's awesome u99  :salute: - where did you pick it up from?
- Or was I too preoccupied with other thoughts, like: if toast always lands jam side down, and a cat always lands on its feet, what happens when you strap a piece of toast, jam side up, to the back of a cat?

These still can be found NIB? Last one I got my hands on, I had to polish it, to get it an 8 out of 10.
