Now that's cool, I'd love a set of blue scales on my Outrider, even with advertising.
Rotokid had Blue 111mm scales for sale awhile back with red and white standard Victorinox shield - no advertising. You might check with him.

The cool metal inlay.

I picked up a couple of these NIB.

I think those guys look like "Sleestack" from that old Land of the Lost TV show. Remember those lizard men with 3 fingers ?
(Image removed from quote.)

These still can be found NIB? Last one I got my hands on, I had to polish it, to get it an 8 out of 10.
Got lucky I guess. Found a guy selling them who had purchased them from an old fishing and outdoors shop that was closing and they had them in their inventory.

No, but close. The one I bought from him was plain blue fronts with ONLY the Shield. I might be wrong about WHO I got them from, it could have been Neil.

edit - found them here-http://www.edcsource.com/106531,auction_id,auction_details and I did buy them from Neil

Cool, is it a limited edition?

The Jungfrau is part of a series of Swiss tourist knives. Below is a Swiss source for them. Similar knives are done for Holland, France, Germany, Austria, Ireland, Hungary, Argentina, Mexico, and Taiwan. Some such as the Swiss and French are readily available. Others were limited editions or are out of production.

Thanks Coloswiss, I've actually just found a seller called Prixcanon on french eBay and ordered a 'Paris' one with a pic of the Eiffel tower on it :).
- Or was I too preoccupied with other thoughts, like: if toast always lands jam side down, and a cat always lands on its feet, what happens when you strap a piece of toast, jam side up, to the back of a cat?

Yes a Swisschamp. I still have to polish the edges, so it will be while before it is done.

I've dealt with Prixcanon on several occasions. They were the source for some of my set of French tourist knives.

I do not have any pre '72 85 mm Wenger SAKs to compare but ignoring for a moment the scissors there are other details that do not appear right to me - the large screwdriver and can opener shape, the main blade shape, etc. My first thought not knowing how old is this and neither seeing it too clearly from these pics is to say that is not genuine. Somebody may know better. I hope that is original.

I'm certainly no expert when it comes to older Wengers, but nothing about that is setting off any alarm bells to me. :)

Just got me to thinking; that has to be one of the few style of can openers I've never tried.  Are you going to give it a test for us colt? :pok:

It is genuine, just an older model. There is a forum thread here that shows several older Wenger models that look similar to yours.

I have tried that can opener before. That old style can opener is DANGEROUS so be careful. The proper way to use it is to stab the tip straight down into the can and "lever" it against the can edge into the "v" area and push down on the knife to cut the lid and move it as you go. I found it could easily slip out of the can and you could cut yourself also on the rough can edge.

Thanks for the info, i tried the opener and you are dead on !! I can see why they changed it.
