My first post in the Flashy forum...

I am pretty close to pulling the trigger on an ITP C7.

I was wondering whether there is an obviously better light, or reason to avoid this one.  In particular I want a single battery light around 4 inches long (longer is ok), not a wide diameter as I might pocket it, and with a nice bright light.  I want to be able to light up a good sized area from a decent distance, if that makes sense...say the wall of a house from 50-70 feet.

any advice or comments on the ITP C7 would be great!

Thanks

Here's a good CPF review of it http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?t=208440

There's a lot out there in the AA camp - it depends how much you want to spend really! ITP lights are great value for money as a general rule. The Quark line are also good value for a few bucks more.

I have the C7T. I love it. It is super easy to use, and is reliable. One of the cheapest infinite brightness lights out there. Nice and bright. The lanyard that comes with it is kind of awful though. It is also a little too large to EDC. It is the same as the Maratac 9290, so if you like grey green better, that is the way to go. I thought I might eventually get the C8 2xAA tube for it, but I can't find it anywhere. Doesn't really matter, the C7 gets good battery life because I use it in low most of the time. It's nice knowing I could go to ridiculously bright when I need to.

too big for EDC?  Hmmm, that's what I'm after though.  EDC light.  I dont want a little keychain light that is really bright with no distance or beam diameter.  Is their something around the same specs as the C7 but a bit smaller? and around the same price-ish?
