Ok I have something that I consider to be very special .This is a joint venture between myself and Nathan ( Thundernoodle ) , in fact its Nathans idea and all the credit should go to him  :salute:

Up for Auction is a Victorinox Classic with English Oak scales from HMS Victory , Nelsons Flagship at Trafalgar .

I'll run the auction for 2 weeks ending on Sunday August 29th at 22.00hrs GMT

Also included is a wine bottle stopper made from the same victory oak which was Kindly donated to us by David Burton   of http://www.victoryoak.co.uk/index.php

The scales where made and fitted to a used but good Vic Classic SD and I think he's done a great job . The auction also includes a certificate of authenticity. This wood was purchased from the Royal Navy and Ministry of Defence (MOD) and was from the 1922 restoration/refit .

Now remember people if you win this item the wood was actually here.......

Due to the blade I'm afraid its only open to 18 year olds and over .
The Auction is for One Victorinox Classic with Oak Scales from HMS Victory , one Wine bottle stopper with wood from HMS Victory , a certificate of authenticity and a gift box . All money will go to David Bowen and his Family .

Now who will start the bidding  in GBP  £s

The thread about how we got the wood and Nathan and my little road trip can be found here http://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,22036.new.html#new

If I'm not too late I'm bidding £135.

If I win and the scales are not mounted on the Classic yet, then please send me them unmounted.

£135  :ahhh   :salute:  The scales have been bonded to the classic . All that remains is for me to sharpen the blade ( if required ) . Are you happy to continue with your bid ?

Cheers
