Our rambutan picking trip to the upland this morning

BTW, rambutan is a juicy delicious and nutricious fruit. This fruit resemble the lychee and both belong to the same botanical family. It is a popular fruit tree here and propagated commercially in small orchards in the upland.

Started our trip at 7:00 A.M. The long, winding and ascending road.


First stopover.. to stretch our legs and to take a few pics of the scenic rice terraces below.


The viewdeck along the highway.




Another stopover in front of a small nipa hut selling ice cold drinks.


View at the back of that nipa hut.


We finally reached our destination. Time to eat the delicious rambutan.




The end.

Mildly sweet and a little bit chewy. I think I consumed more than 1 kilo this morning.
