Make branded Leatherman Squirts.

Some of you may know, I ordered 3 Leatherman Multi-tools from Make Magazine. However, the messed up the first shipment and gave me 3 ES4s with no markings other them from the factory, and the PS4 turned into a P4. At least the P4 had the Make inscription on it.

I asked them for information to send back the package and they responded that they will fix the issue, and I get to keep the previous 3 Leathermans because of their mistake. Wow! Well, I kept the package just in case they still want it.

Well today, the other package came in, and I figure it might be time to put them all together for a group shot. I take it they were serious about not wanting the first package back.  :think:

I now have my first riveted ES4 I guess.

Is that a case of familiarity breeds contempt :) 

We'll all be digging the vintage look of it a decade from now ;)

I had a P4 and thought it was good quality until I got my hands on a PS4... the way the PS4 snaps together is probably one of the most precise mechanisms I've seen on any multitool, and the anodized handles ooze of quality

Speaking of which, I still need 2 riveted ES4s, and 3 PS4s to complete that set.

Good to see the Make PS4 has torx screws.  I ordered a PS4, but if it does not have the Torx screws then I may send it back and order one from Make.  Relatedly, I am a big fan of Make, their website and publications.

It's random whether it has screws or pivots. The production batches mix, so anyone who carries them will probably have some of both. Make might have got their tools before the switchover and still running off that batch, but when they run out...
