I'm going to Rio in a month    and I was wondering if you can recommend a good knife shop... or two 
looking for Swiss goodies of course or anything interesting and sharp

Hi, I live in Rio, but don't expect to find rare and different models , Victorinoxes are pretty expensive down here...so I believe Victorinox don't sell a lot of knifes and we don't get special versions...I'm always looking, but if you want to try
usually you find those knifes in places where cigars and tabacco are sold, so those are not hard to find,
In Botafogo(close to Copacabana), at Shopping Rio Sul, you will find a good one on the 4Th floor
Or at "Pipe & Co", in Barra da Tijuca, close to Extra Paes Mendonça Supermarket,
also in Shopping Barra Square, at "Banca118", also in Barra da Tijuca, close to Evora Delicatessen,
if you go downtown, you can try at "Rei Das Facas" in Rua Da Carioca number 7

or you may call Victorinox do Brasil, that is in Sao Paulo, and they will help you (Telefone (11) 5584-8188).
