What I'd like to see more of in Multitools

Of all the things that go wrong with various multitools and the belief that manufacturing and materials do contribute to the life and character, what would you most like to see improved?

A Titanium Core would be sweet. Not just the handles, the whole thing.  :gimme:

I went for forging.  Ti is nice but I prefer to make tools work better rather than just more pretty.

Ti isn't stronger than forged? I wasn't going for pretty...

I am assuming (maybe incorrectly) that by the use of Ti and CF that it is in the cosmetic sense, where as forging is an actual strength improvement.

Ti is actually a relatively soft metal.

I thought the advantages of Ti were 1. Lightweight 2. Extremely corrosion resistant 3.  Non-magnetic.

I went for forged as well.  There is nothing like a solid pair of forged pliers when it comes to heavy work.

I think Leatherman (for example) should make an X-series with Forged pliers and replaceable cutters.

If that's really the case I want to change my vote to forging.

That's only my take as I am yet to see anything Ti (in the world of SAK's or plier based MT's) where it has been anything more than cosmetic.  The OP may have a different angle though.  :tu:

Forging, no question.  I always worry when I put pressure on multi pliers...waiting for that ill moment of a jaw flying off :P

That's why I'm hoping the Multitasker EDC works out.  Their wire EDM cut pliers are pretty wicked.

Better steel in the knife blade of OHO tools isn't a bad idea either, though.  154CM is a good compromise of edge holding and relative ease of sharpening.  At least compared to D2 or something really hard :P
Half-ass done wholeheartedly!

While I'd like to see all of the features listed, it would be best of all to not worry about a set of plier jaws snapping across the room when I perform a simple task with them (and it's happened!).  What's better than the perfect warranty is not having to use that warranty.  Can we get some nice forged pliers with replaceable cutters please???

I would like to see more cocktail forks in MT's  :D :D

TITANIUM COCKTAIL FORKS  :ahhh :ahhh :gimme:   :D :D.

Forged pliers would be cool so a big +1 for a civilian Multitasker  MT
