It's designed to be a 2HO, as it was made for sale in the UK and EU, where a lot of places have laws against one handed opening knives.

Unfortunately I'd say that even though "It really wasn't designed to be easily [opened] one handed" I'm not sure that circumvents any laws. Not easy isn't the same as impossible IMO.

They just need to make a folder without that #"%#¤/% thumbhole..

I agree that a lot can, whether or not they were designed to be or not. Just don't tell the Danish police, OK? In this case though it's pretty obvious that the Kiwi won't pass muster in a country that's outright banned OHO knives (correct me if I'm wrong about that Allan). It should be OK in New York as, AFAIK, the argument isn't OHO it's about that being able to Spydie-drop an knife makes it a gravity knife. Germany just has legislation about the carrying of OHO's, not the ownership, so I can't see the issue there either.
Unfortunately I don't think they will make one without hole anytime soon. Something about to maintain a trademark it will have to be on every product, they even put holes on fixed blades that didn't have it before.
Sadly I don't think Spyderco will make an effort to produce anything for a small market like Denmark. At least they tried, but the rest is history: The Spyderco DKPK.

Benner talking about his sebenza and UK customs made me think, what if someone take it apart and send it to you as bag of parts?
