Hello all! Long-time lurker here who has appreciated all the advice and reviews for years and finally decided to join the forum. My three favorite tool/knife brands are Victorinox, Leatherman, and Spyderco.
What I carry most depending on my needs and feelings each day…
Victorinox - Rambler & Pioneer X
Leatherman - Skeletool or Rebar
Spyderco - Delica with Lynch clip & Nite Ize Doohickey

I look forward to sharing insights and experiences with everyone!

Thanks! I already posted a few pics in the Hacked Leatherman thread of a simple blade swap I did on my Skeletools. Fun stuff.

Hello, my name is James and I live in Cheltenham, England which is about 90 miles West of London. I work as a network engineer so lots of my time is spent behind a keyboard but I regularly travel to customer sites to install new equipment, do cabling etc.

My first multi-tool was an original Leatherman Wave which I still have and use regularly. It normally stays at home as it is too nice to risk losing on site and has sentimental value - it was a present from my mother who is no longer with us.

I have a Gerber Suspension Tool which I bought from Amazon on a very cheap deal and it is the one that I tend to take with me to customer sites as I am not worried about losing it too much.

I also have a Leatherman Skeletool CX with the bit kit which does not get too much use nowadays. I used to carry it in my laptop bag and found it useful and lightweight but with the new UK laws around knife carry decided that I would not carry a locking bladed knife which I could not really justify having on me for "just in case".

I have a few smaller tools including the Leatherman Micra, a Style CS (scissors), a Style PS (pliers) and recently a Gerber Dime which I keep in my cycling bag along with tyre levers, spare tubes etc. I also have a Leatherman Style (penknife) on my keyring and it is the one that gets most use.

I have recently become interested in putting together an EDC pouch that contains a bunch of small tools including a UK legal knife and that would allow me to complete most work and everyday tasks I encounter. I have bought an Alpaka Zip Pouch Pro to hold these tools. I have enjoyed reading some of the posts on the forum and look forward to participating in discussions.

Welcome James

Sounds like you'll fit in here really well -

So Cheltenham - eh? Nice neck of the woods - I live in Sydney, Australia right now - But I used to live just up the road from you in Worcester
PS. Another thing we have in common ....... My first non-SAK multi was also a Wave   :multi:

Nice having you.

Based on you name and avatar, am I correct in guessing you are or were a USCG Chief?

Hello all!  :salute: Stumbled across this site just now while browsing specs of new Leathermans. Currently have a rebar and original wave. Not exactly sure when they came out but I feel like I've had them both for at least a decade.... But I digress. Seems like an awesome place to geek out on cool stuff and more importantly gain knowledge. So just thought I'd say hello and can't wait to chat with y'all.

Welcome getshwifty.

I too once stumbled across here while looking for some information.  That was a few years ago.  It is a great place to hang if you like multitools, SAKs, knives, etc and camaraderie.
