Just in time for my birthday
on: October 20, 2010, 02:09:29 AM
This little titanium bottle opener tool, the Shark from Superior Titanium arrived today, and I plan to give it a bit of a workout tonight.

I thought I'd share it with you, and let you know I'll get around to a full review soon, but take it easy on me, I'm not an expert in one piece tools!  Still, I couldn't let a teetotaler like Dave have all the fun!

I thought I wanted one but it lacks some functions. You have a real multitool on you more often than I do, I need a pocket tool that's a jack of  all trades :-) enjoy your birthday, may the tool open many  many beers for you

You are right- it's just a bottle opener and a few graduated wrench cutouts.  It's not the smoothest bottle opener I've used, but it is adequate.  Today I am going to try to find some nuts and bolts to try out the wrench function.

Let me know how it works out, I'm interested. Like the Atwood wrenches it should be a good buddy with a multitool

It's almost small enough, I could envision something like this folding out of a full sized multitool... :D

I have to say, that is a nice feature, as silly as it may seem to some.

Looks nice, but very costly for what it offers. :-[

Some people just don't underestand that jimping and ergonomics are that much more important on a small/one-piece tool!
Got those frog legs.

In the absence of leverage, a firm grip is very important.  It's one of the reasons I was so impressed with the Shard from Gerber.

I just took a look at their website; their business card case is tempting me.  :ahhh
