DD slide lock

Is there any way to cut and switch scales from a DD knife onto a slide lock knife?

I would imagine it'd be tricky to do without cosmetically messing up the new scales, not impossible though. 

You'd also have the issue that the DD scales are thinner so you'd need to fit an additional liner of some description between the DD scale and the aluminium. 

To top it off you'd need to modify the new scale to accept the spring for the slider.

Oh, i didn't know that the spring is in the scale.  It was just a concept.  Thanks
