Just a Couple of Pics...
on: November 15, 2010, 01:46:37 AM
This Weekend I went Camping with my Youngest and the Scouts...I decided to carry a few items I have had from Gerber, but I have not carried in awhile...Not pictured was my fixed blade Gator which I wore around my neck. The fixed blade Gator did a great job slicing up Yams and such for the Turkey Dinner later that evening..The Scout troop cooked five twenty pound or so Turkeys out in the open surrounded by charcoal towers and tin foil hung as the birds were hung off a pipe..The pliers I have had a long time and have been repaired/replaced by Gerber a long time ago before I moved on to Leatherman's offerings. The Gerber was my first Pliers dedicated Multi Tool. It did great as I cut wire and opened cans..The BMF, almost 20 now, was a great help at the fire pit

Looks like a pretty good selection  :tu:

Your Gerber BMF looks very interesting, it's a shame the pic has come through so small.

You could give Photobucket a try  :D

Again, nice selction. Is that a Swiss Champ?

...The BMF has been in my possesion for almost 20 years. I pcicked it up right after I got out of the Army..It has done what I have asked of it. I have had to clean it up a few times..and I sharpened the swedge like my KaBar that it was meant to replace as a field knife. The pocket fell aprt on the sheat so with a bit of leather and some chicago screws I made a hanger for the pouch where the Gerbertool lives. The SAK is indeed a SwissChamp..It seems to be a constant companion no matter what I am carrying while Hiking,Hunting,or Camping
