on: November 09, 2010, 02:33:00 AM
Finally I have all the colors and models...

still need a Coach classic, a Tiffany's Classic and a Workchamp XL

and I'm still thinking if I will buy all the new patterns on the classics...

I need to improve my skills, everybody in the list take such great pictures...mine are amateur ones...

That is awesome!
Do you really have all colors & models? Including e.g. the Zodiac series? And the anniversary knives?

I like your pictures, nothing wrong with them. Also nothing wrong with posting more pics :pok: :D

Nice collection!!    I pesume you meant "i still need a MiniChamp XL"?

Laying out the top rainbow row would be nice!

I would be a bit careful of saying "I have all the colors and models... "; with SAKs that's almost impossible to confirm, you're at least going to need some qualifiers on that for translucents, metals, woods, natural materials etc.

You definitely have a nice start to a 58mm SAK collection. You mentioned you
still need a Coach classic, a Tiffany's Classic and a Workchamp XL
I guess you were talking about the MiniChamp XL.

You could also throw in a "Horn" classic as they are still available and pretty routinely found for sale. Also Victorinox made a fake MOP or what some call a "cracked ice" scale model and some hardwood scaled models. You should also find at least 1 "Deluxe" model to include in your collection.

I dare say "no one" has a complete set of those that I have seen. This series is the hardest to collect by far since each country was ordered in 200 piece minimum orders(according to the head honchos over in Ibach). Also some countries with more demand have ordered many more and even in different color combinations. The list of countries that were produced and posted over on the SAKWicki was taken from the book "A Collector's Guide to Victorinox 58mm (2 1/4") Small Size Pocket Knives" by Daniel Jacquart.

Thanks!

I know that there are still many that I don't have...

From the zodiac series I have only the one of my sign, from the national flags series, only the one from my contry...

I belive that even if I win the lottery, I wont be able to buy all the ones from all models, colors, sign, flags, patterns, materials, etc...

a few other pictures from my 58mm collection:

Very nice!!! Congrats  :tu:
I only have a few, but one of them I didn't  see in your pictures (yet): a 1884-1984 anniversary.
They pop up from time to time...

That's what I said :P
And the 1291-1991 one as well. And others ;)

But still, it's an awesome collection
