I'm not saying don't buy them like; I keep a Clutch in my coat pocket.  Just that I wouldn't pay more than about $10 for one :)
I'm not taking any more mod orders at present, sorry.

The Gerber Mini tools are actually very good.  I am one of the few that prefers the Shortcut over the Micra infact.

I wouldn't go that far.  But they are a big improvement on the cheapy no name jobs found in bargain buckets by the checkouts of DIY stores.

I got one of those twin packs of Amazon.co.uk a while back for £16 I think it was.

No match for the Micra, but not bad though.
I used to come here a lot.

A possible scenario:

Step 1 introduce new Clutch and Shortcut keychain tools to compete with Leatherman Squirt line.

Step 2 A few years later, design even more cheaply built keychain tools. Discontinue Clutch and Shortcut, introduce Vise and Splice.

Step 3 A year or so later, suddenly realize you still have leftover Clutch and Shortcut parts laying around. Rebadge tools as "Mini Suspensions", package in a combo 2-pack, sell on Amazon.com

Sound about right? :)
In order to be certain of having the right tool for every job.........one must first acquire a lot of tools

Such an obvious choice for a rebadge as well, what with the Suspension being a byword for quality MTs ::)

OK, so not here it's not, but out in the big world it's probably Gerber's best know multi, so I can see why they'd use the name.

For what it's worth, our Walmart in Central Virginia had the Mini-Suspension scissor/plier combo pack in the store for $17.97.  I bought it.  Will either replace the Leatherman Squirt S4 that is my EDC or my Micra?  No way. It's a cruder set of tools.  That said, they're not bad for $9 each.  It's a nice backup for the glove or tackle box.
