New Multi-Plier 600
on: February 13, 2011, 11:08:26 PM
I found a Multi-Plier at the flea market today. It has blunt noise pliers and no locks on the tools.
It looks like it was hardly used.
20 bucks ok?

Mike

I think Alcohol, Tabacco and Firearms should be a convenience store, not a government agency.

I'll give you $22 for it, you can't say fairer than that. ;)

That's a great find and $20 sounds like a bargain to me. :tu:

Yup. :salute: It was called the Multi-Plier when it first came out in 1992. Link = http://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,17190

There were several modifications made, but the name remained Multi-Plier. Then the locking blade model came out in the late 1990's, and it was called the Multi-Lock. Later the name was changed to Multi-Plier 600 :)

$20 is the magic number for me, pretty much any brand name tool I see for that price I would pick up.  Good find man.

Nice stuff.  :tu:  I've one of those old pinchy handled units I got not all that
long ago and I really like it.

I was wondering, how much lighter, and smaller, is the Gerber 400, compared to
these older multi pliers?  Does anyone know, are they very similar, I don't have
a 400 and was thinking of getting one?

Nice pic it nice to be able to compare the three tools. The MP is about the same size as the MP400.

Thanks guys for the info.  Thank you Allan, nice pic.  :)  So... is the 400 quite a bit
lighter in weight than the old multi plier?
