Most of us know by now that Leatherman has purchased LED Lenser but who makes LM's current Monarch series lights ?

Good question.  I seem to remember hearing that the older Serac range shared some DNA with Fenix but, even if that's true, I don't know about the Monarch range.

The Leatherman LGX200 was a rebranded Fenix L1T. I think it appeared in a bundle with a LM Blast in US Costco stores. It is rumoured that the Serac range was made by Fenix, to Leatherman's design.

Sorry, can't help with Dunc's original question.

I didn't know that! I have two lights from them and they are great! I thought LL wasn't that populair with the people in the US....It's amazing what amount of light they produce out a small torch.

The victorinox flashlights (AA, AAA) are made by inova.

Technically, they were designed & manufactured by Emmissive Energy Corp., who also designed and manufactured the Inova brand line of lights.  Since then, in February of 2010, Nite-Ize has acquired the Inova brand from Emmissive Energy.  The two companies will partner in the development of future Inova designs.
