Review of JIMI and JIMI X wallet, you can also find this on my blog... http://svakodnevnesitnice.blogspot.com/2011/03/jimi-wallet.html

Is your wallet overloaded? Do you want a simple, minimalist solution? Are you a enviromentalist, concerned about the ecology and the environment? Are you concerned about the increase of plastic waste? Are you concerned about animal rights, and opposed to the use of fur and leather? If the answers to these questions are YES, then The JIMI Wallet is for you, wallet which is made entirely from recycled materials and according to the tests made by the manufacturer's the wallet is very robust and all moving parts which are subject to bending will sustain a million of open and closing.
The philosophy that stands behind all mr. Smith Co. product’s is very simple – RESPECT. Jimi Wallet is made based on the RESPECT for worker, RESPECT for the environment and RESPECT for the consumer. This means that the company is fully committed to humanistic attitude towards workers and work, that the wallet is made from 100% recycled materials, and that the company donates 1% of sales revenue to the environment.
JIMI and JIMI X are simple products that will win your affection by its simplicity and straight forward approach. By construction it is a clam shell with size 11cm x 6cm x 1,5cm.  Once you open the cover by squeezing the designated spot it opens in two halfs.
In one half of the wallet is a pocket that can accommodate up to four credit cards, and since 2011 for citizens of Serbia ID card and driving license are the same size and shape of a credit card which means that you can put two documents and two card, which is enough for every day.
On the other half is money clip. Here you can put a few neatly folded banknotes). This should also be enough for everyday use.
Pocket on one side and clip the other side can be removed from the wallet, so you can get a simple box, which you can now store few cards or banknotes more.
Also mr. Smith produces and independent inserts for this wallet, so you can put in your JIMI Wallet i.e. money clip that has space for two SD memory card, which can be very convenient for those of you who have a need for additional GB of storage and data transfer.
Besides the JIMI Wallet, there is a newer version of JIMI X which differs from older model in  a external moneyclip, so your money can be accessible without opening your wallet, or you can use it as an pocket clip.
More about Jimi and Jimi X and other mr. Smith Co. products you can find on the official website of the company:
JIMI and JIMI X Wallet by mr. Smith Co. are very nice gadgedts and quality products. These fashion accessories and EDC are definitely on the list of what you should carry with you.

I'll keep you heads up on hinge... I'm using camo one for a week or something and it don't show any wear on it. And I keep my ID and credit cards with money inside, so i open it quite often... We'll see how long will it last...  :tu:

Looks a bit uncomfortable. Does it give somewhat when you sit on it?

That makes sense. Probably best not to carry it in a posterior location. :D

This looks very interesting and I am looking forward to hearing how it holds out.

I used to have a jimi wallet, the one with the money clip inside. Used it whenever I traveled because I needed something smaller that would go into my side pocket. I traveled about 5 or 6 times a year, so it was used infrequently. But after a while, even though the hinges remained intact, the "click" feeling when opening or closing the wallet didn't feel right anymore.

That was quite disappointing, considering it was only about 2 years of infrequent use.

I currently have a fossil magnetic money clip with 4 card slots. Much happier with that.

Ok, I broke down and got one. Been using it for 2 days so don't know about the quality of the hinges yet.

I'm wearing mine (the camo one) since this post (and some week more), and nothing happened to the hinges, it holds strong! Though still keeping it in upper pocket of M65 jacket...

This one has some strenght.... And I like it, especially how people look at it...  :o :)

I carry it in my front pocket but seeing that I only have had it a week it's too early to give it a final verdict.
