The 20,000 Fans Contest…
To thank all of our Facebook fans we have designed a new competition called, “Fans with their Leatherman Tools”. The contest is a photo submission contest (similar to some competitions we have had in the past). Each fan has the ability to submit one picture of him/her self with their Leatherman tool. We want to leave the creative aspect up to our fans. The only guidelines are that both the tool and the user must be in the picture (as usual please be appropriate).
The “Fans with their Leatherman Tools” contest will run until March 1st 2011 at 12:00pm Leatherman Standard Time (aka. Pacific Standard Time). Once the contest has been completed we will print all of the photos out and display them here (in Portland @LTG). Members of our team will have a few days to vote on their favorite images and the top three as voted on by the LTG staff will receive prizes.
In order to keep the images organized we would like you to submit your photo for the contest with the following caption…
(First name, last name/ tool in the photo, date submitted)
This will help to keep all of the contest entrants separate from other photos submitted between now and March 1st 2011.
Since our fans do not have the ability to post to a particular album I will grab all of the photos intermittently throughout the week and migrate them over to an album I have created titled, “Fans with their Leatherman Tools”. All of the images for the contest will have been migrated to the folder by the evening of March 1st 2011, and the voting within the Leatherman Factory will begin.
Juli and I also wanted to let everyone know that; “By submitting a picture you give Leatherman unrestricted rights to use this picture in any future promotion of Leatherman Tools”. We are thinking of building some type of collage with all of the images submitted to show our fan support on the LTG Facebook page.
Please let me know if you have any questions regarding the contest either here on the discussion tab or on the “Wall”, whichever you prefer. We hope to have an abundance of photos to choose from.
Oh shoot, you might want to know what prizes are up for grabs…. Hmmm Prizes are as follows,
1st Place will receive any tool or knife of his or her choice that we currently have as an in-line product.
2nd Place will have the option of either receiving Juice CS4 or a Skeletool CX.
3rd Place will get a choice of either a Squirt PS4, Squirt ES4 or a Style CS.
Also I wouldn’t be surprised if the 1st through 3rd place winners also receive a few promotional items in their prize pack. ☺ Michael @LTG
