My New Custom 112
on: March 06, 2011, 07:52:40 PM
Amici,
I recently acquired a 1986 made Buck 112 that was recently customized by knife maker Tom George who mods Buck knives in his down time when not making his own custom blades.

Some of what he has done is re-profile the blade from a clip to a drop point with a mirror finish, cut down the bulk of the handles and brass bolsters themselves making the knife more hand friendly.

He also added some fancy file work to each bolster which now has a finish that resembles  that of a gold nugget.

Here are a few pics next to a custom sheath I picked up a few months ago which I believe each compliments each other.

Cheers,
Serge

A nice reprofile of that blade :tu:  Your right, it goes well with the pouch.
I'm not taking any more mod orders at present, sorry.

:tu:  Very nice!  I really like the drop point profile, and that's good "melt" work on the bolsters.
