Ok, so your collecting one from evey year?
That and the fact I want to know for sure if they produce any this year.
As for the 1961 stuff; My opinion is if it has the Vic sheild, it's a Pioneer not a soldier; if it is sold as otherwise it is marketing fluff. Multiple colored alox versions would be extreme marketing fluff if they labeled them as Soldiers. If they stamp the blade in the same manor as the past then more fluff as we already have a Soldiers model for 2011, even if they don't produce any and it's 111mm. I'll be really upset with Vic if they stamp the blade on anything less that a real soldier or soldier commorative. For a commemorative it would be nice t have the tang stamp c61, they can note the release year in another way.
So my take, and many will disagree, is at least one avenue for these knives may produce a bunch of nice Pioneers without keyrings, but not Soldiers. There may be other sources for a more appropriate commemorative, I'm not sure.
