Wenger Giant knife question

Hi.
I know there are two models Wenger Giant knife. Looking at a photo, has seen unknown tools. What it for tools, how to use, in what models they are?

Well, no help on the first black box thing but that second thing must be the "Shortix Laboratory Key" mentioned in the official list of tools on the Wenger Giant knife. Not really sure what it does but the name is associated with the Gas Chromatography SGT Fix It knife. I am sure it must have something to do with that.
