Those are really great threads, which is one of the reasons I was thrilled to have Bob (J-sews, aka Jooliesews) join us here.  Keep an eye out for similar stuff to show up here too.

I can't say too much, but Bob has something really cool in store for everyone!

I can't access BladeForums at all.  My account is relatively new - haven't even posted more than a couple times.  I get this:

Tom Munch, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

   1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
   2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

I e-mailed the administrator & haven't gotten any reply in over a week.  Anyone have any ideas?

A few months ago, there was a very interesting series of threads on bladeforums called "Before There Was Leatherman". Really neat info and pics.

Thanks shecky, I'm glad you enjoyed the antique multi tool posts.
I've since "discovered" several more old vintage tools, and gathered some more info about those I already wrote about. When I get it all compiled, I plan to post a "Second Edition" to the Before There Was Leatherman articles here on Multitool.org.
