Elsener 1942 soldier knife question

is this a factory blade in the picture below or has it been profiled to that shape by someone (other than the factory)?
any information is appreciated!

Wow! Massive reprofiling. My guess is they broke the blade and ground a entirely new profile.

I'm guessing they just used the blade alot and were pretty agressive sharpeners. In 1942 the blade style must have been clip-point, but I confess I didn't go look it up to be sure.
