Knife for a friend POLL
on: April 15, 2011, 06:09:42 AM
My best friend's reserve unit was activated and he is deploying soon. I wanted to give him a knife to take, and figured it was a good time for my first poll. To be honest, the Sebenza is not really an option, so if you voted for that you can change it.

He is not a knife guy and is left handed, so most liner/framelock knives are out of question. He is currently in a non combat role (subject to change), so the knife does NOT need to be tactical style. I would like to give him something he can keep after his tour (so no autos or pocket swords please).

Thanks and enjoy.

poll will run for a week

Since you mention he's a leftie, I'd advise for any of the liner-locking 111mm Victorinox SAKs, such as a new Soldier. :tu:

My stepbrother took a LM Blast to Afghanistan and he found it to be much more useful than a regular knife. I'd say get your friend a true multitool.

SOG power assist is pretty ambidextrous for blades.

Supertool 300, possibly BO version.
