Was the SwissCard letter opener ever dull, out of the factory?

Not to sound smart, but the cutting edge was switched between various "generations" of the SwissCard; IIRC, the old cutting edge was toward the middle of the card, and was basically a 74mm large blade, later editions have their own specially made blade with a cutting edge toward the edge of the card.

As to whether the opener was dull; the one I have has a sharp edge to it.
