Upon spying the package addressed to me on the counter this morning, the weariness I was feeling from an 18-hour trip home from Maryland seemed to instantly evaporate.

It was from Pacu in Texas, and I was thrilled because I thought I knew what was inside.

Turns out I was only partly right...

First off was a Lansky Mini Dog Bone Sharpener. Cool, I've never tried one of those!

Next up was a beautiful bit of crystalized rock. Is this what they call a geode?

I dunno, but the wife and younger daughter have taken a hankering to it already.

(sorry about the photo, I just can't seem to capture how beautiful and colorful this thing is)

Then there was this gorgeous German-made pocket knife from Frost Cutlery. Not being a knife guy, I don't have the foggiest notion of what model it is.

But I can say that it feels good in the hand, the blades are sharp, and the alternating bands of green and brass on the handles is quite breathtaking.

Finally, the creme de la creme, a genuine Leatherman Fuse, decked out in the elusive stainless and camo pattern livery!

So far as we can tell, these seem to be native to the state of Texas only.

Thanks a ton Pacu!
