What's better than keeping monster fish in your living room? Catching them of course!  I'm headin out early in the am to try my luck at the lake. Too po' for a boat so i'm a steadfast bank fisherman. Catfish and crappie are my main targets. I love to catfish..here in the south they did get a bit large too.

here is my main set-up
Shimano Calcutta 250 with 15 pound test on a 7 foot All star graphite rod.








i've had the reel since 1996ish ..best reel i've ever bought..smooth. The rod was mispriced at walmart around 2001..even after i told the manager it was priced wrong he let me have it for 19.99 :D   I have a couple of cheap backup spinning rod/reels so if one fouls i can keep fishing.

let's see your set-ups..for you north folks what do you fish for? I've caught some weird fish up in ohio. Sauger i think...has some evil eyes

So that's why you keep fish- to study their ways, infiltrate their society and make yourself a better hunter!  :D
