I won the Leatherman Kick/hobo today. It went cheap as I thought it would so the fork and spoon can be tossed and I have a cheap Kick. But there is more to this rabbit hole. More later.    :D

This seller just issed me a refund without contacting me first. Why? Because the finally selling price didnt cover shipping cost and wants me now to pay for shipping. The auction was listed with free shipping. I have replied to him and we shall see if he will do the right thing.     :wait:

And why is that your problem? What a jackass. When you sell things online either take your chances or set a reserve. For him to cancel the order is pretty weak. I mean I see where he is coming from as on his end he is basically giving you the tool for free and paying shipping, but again that's the risk he took and he needs to live with that decision.

Thats a bummer Steve. That was a scummy thing to do, but at least you arent out anything other than some time and inconvenience.

As you have seen he didnt to the right thing. As he told me ebay cant make him ship the tool to me. Which is true. If I wouldnt pay for shipping he would relist it. While I was considering all this it appears by that time he had it relisted before my final answer. Which I wasnt going to pay. It appears the tool didnt bring what he wanted so he issued me a refund without talking to me first and used the shipping as an excuse to weasel out of it. His relisting of it 25.90 higher than I won it for and guess what free shipping proves the point. I did leave him negative feedback.

Now then the rest of the story Paul Harvey. The only reson i really wanted this tool is because it is a very early production Kick. I already have one but if you can get another cheap why not. So in the long run its no big deal. I just dont care to be dealt with in a dishonest way

Man, that's crazy! I've had sellers that gave me the item that arrived bunged up, then issued me a refund to avoid bad feedback. I didn't even have to ask, they offered it right off saying their 100% good feedback was more valuable than a $20 or so item.

I havent had to many bad things happen on ebay as some have. But the one that did go south the sellers always did the right thing in the end. This seller's 100% feedback just went to 90.9%. This is the first time I've every left negative feedback. As some times thing just go south for no good reason. But it didnt bother me to leave this scoundrel negative feedback.
