I have their Universal 3.0.  I think they are interesting and pretty nice for a OPT card.

I found a used Wicked Edge sharpener that is on its way.  It is from a dealer and based on the condition description, I get the feeling it is an open box return.

I’ve been debating getting a new sharpener and I couldn’t resist saving over 30%.

I've had mine for a few years now, it's a great system! I just wished that the supplementary stones were cheaper

Glad to hear it.  I’ve only heard good things about them.  I’ve been looking at them for a while.  I did add a 800/1000 stone, so I know what you mean about wishing they were cheaper.

Nice spydie Cody, well wear. I've a Pioneer X on the way, likely my first and only alox knife, I'd have a lot more money if it wasn't for MTo . . .
misplaced as in put it down somewhere and it'll show up or as in you'll never see it again ? Either way, hate when that happens !

I finally found it last week digging through a box of stuff I'd moved to the outbuilding--in the old flashlight box it was stored in along with a few other knives. Right after finding it, I asked Spyderco about the missing pivot screw, and looking at my USPS Informed Delivery this morning, it will be here today.

So in another thread I said I wish they made a Troubleshooter that had a saw and corkscrew instead of a file and Phillips. To my amazement I stumbled upon the Evo S52 :o It's actually a virtually perfect toolset for me because I only use the file on Victorinox knives for my nails most of the time. And this replaces the blade with a nail file. Can't wait to carry this SAK!  :mail: also I think I may be going down the rabbit hole on SAKs with pliers I now have a deluxe tinker, a handyman, an angler and a Troubleshooter, on top of this one  :ahhh

But now to discuss your excitement.  Great to hear that you have found what might be your perfect toolset.  The 85mm has some nice toolsets and I do think the nail file in place of pen blade is nice.  I also like how some of the 85mm knives give you the locking blade option.  I just wish they had 85mm knives without the Evo scales.

I have that as the Wenger Master, which doesn't have EVO scales, and that crappy 1980s era saw. It is a really good toolset. Wenger pliers, for mechanical stuff, are just a bit better than Vic.

HAHAHA we all love our new toys here at MTO!  I've been wanting to get a Spyderco Sharpmaker for years, maybe one day I'll finally slap the cash down on it.

Yeah I wanted to find a Wenger Master after reading about it in SAK wiki because I prefer the Classic scales, but I don't have any qualms about the evo scales they just feel more "plasticy" to me.

Yeah I have an old backpacker and the saw sucks compared to my newer Wengers, I always thought it was because the previous owner dulled the teeth up or something, I didn't know it was common for the 80s era Wengers. I like the look of the wenger pliers because they're slip joint, and it looks like the wire shears are more useful than those on my Vics.
