What would you pay for a Japan PST?
on: July 03, 2011, 07:53:43 AM
I have almost pulled the trigger on a Japan Assembled PST a few times, but I can never justify it.  There is one on ebay right now for a pretty low price, but it looks a little banged up and I am contemplating whether or not I should snag it.  They are rare, but I do see them a few times a year so I think I may wait and see if a prettier one comes up when I have more spare cash.  What would you guys pay for one of these if you wanted one?

This one looks well used, bordering on beat up.  I think I'll pass for now.

That would depend on which variation, condition and how bad you want it. There are five different variations of the riveted PST that I know of. I have only paid over 50 for one and that was a auction here on MT. O and it is a rare variation. The only one I`ve seen like it. Of the two variations that pop up on ebay on a fairly regular bases I`d be hard pressed to pay more that 35 of 40 for one in good condition. But then I all ready have a number of these. Prices on these have gone up quite a bit in the last six months to a year. Some of the BIN prices are outrageous.    :D
What? Enablers! Are you serrrrious? Where? I dont see any.

Yea, the BIN prices are getting a little ridiculous.  For some reason, people think that the Marlboro stamped ones are flippin gold and try to sell them for the price of a small car payment.

I think 50 pounds is too much for nearly any PST, unless it is pre 92 and in mint condition, meaning factory condition.  I have a mint 98 PST that would only net about $30 here in the US.
