Possibly dumb norton/firefox question....
on: August 10, 2011, 08:52:50 PM
Hey Peeps,
Just wondering...I'm running scans with Norton on my laptop and just noticed that the file cleanup says cleaning Internet Explorer temporary files, etc.  Is it doing the same thing with Firefox?  I never use IE.  I"m not sure what question to ask her as I'm almost completely stupid about these things, but I was curious if I need to alter my settings or something in Norton to keep things running tip top.  Thanks in advanced.

Haven't used Norton/Symantec products in years but I would think it would do the same to Firefox.  I would personally opt out of that and clear everything in my default browser manually.  It will most likely wipe out all active/current logins to site when it clears cookies.  I'm an IT guy....amazing how many people call me and ask what happened after they cleared all history...realizing they ASSumed the passwords were saved forever.

The only stupid question is the question that's never asked!  Better safe than sorry.
