I was a little young in the 90's, but I still managed to keep a Classic in my pocket during the later 90's.

For me, the first tool I got was the SOG Paratool. Then, after seeing a friend with one who said it had the best scissors of any pocket knife he had seen, it was a leatherman PSTII.  That and a Zippo lighter.

Wow, the 90s. That seems like a while ago... I think the first thing to make it on my keychain was a little led light I got at the AAA when I was buying my first car. (A little Mazda pickup actually)

As mentioned in my intro post - Early carry was a Yachtsman knife or various real, GI or Wenger SAKs.

I also just had stuff on the keychain then; mag penlight,
and a retractable xacto blade in a plastic disk which I used a lot.
If they could see me now!

mag penlight,

I was given a Mini-Mag and red vic SD as a gift at some point, which followed me around until the SD was stolen and the Mini mag was lost in a storm whilst camping (Turns out trying to get that spare bulb out and fit it is not as convenient and easy as advertised)

My old EDC was a Gerber Multi-Lite, one of the  "early" tools, before that I really didn't carry anything.

I like to think that I've simply matured, like a fine wine :D

I remembered out of the blue (must be the Alzheimer's) that I used to have a Normark slipjoint too, and I think I need another one, so that might have to be a post-Christmas purchase. Black plastic handle and a very sharp clip point blade. Oh, and I used to have a (Pelican?) Mitylite torch, that was supposed to be totally indestructible. I decided to test this claim by shooting it with an air rifle. It broke! >:(

I'd forgotten about the magnet ::) I bought mine from a proper old-school ship's chandler in Gravesend, and the bloke told me that nothing could break it, ever :o Well, I showed him!

I suppose that, if you were inside a shark, a torch could be a handy thing to have :D
