Many foreign names sound ridiculous in Greek and they usually change their pronunciation here. Famous people like Charlton Heston, Paul Muni and Mario Puzzo.

Vergara, however, is not a dirty word; it literally translates into "big, wooden stick".... you see where I'm getting at  :facepalm:
