I'm just getting over a rotten cold right now, but I was sick of feeling stuck in the house and decided to take a leaf out of Poncho's book and went for a walk in the woods.  One of the things I took with me was my daughter's Opinel Outdoor Junior.  I've not seen a lot about these knives but it's actually a pretty handy sized No7 with slightly rounded tip, extra little notch at the heel of the blade and built in whistle.

My only criticism of the junior Outdoor is that the locking ring is REALLY stiff and no amount of lubrication has fixed it.  It's stiff enough that my daughter can't move the thing and, TBH, it's not easy for me either. :-\

Red is definitely my daughter's favourite colour so there really wasn't much choice in the matter. :D

I think we are past the point where snow is likely any more, but you never know.

Spring is here in less than 2 weeks but the freak snowstorm occasionally gets us :ahhh

If my little girl wants something in a certain color she gets it as well :D Usually blue with her though :tu:

Some Pics of my new EDC Opinel :)

How do you like it?

I liked it a lot, but it deserves an outdoors man. My EDC is mostly urban. Police would bust me with that cleaver.

I like my new Opinel pretty much, it's great to cut bagels,  also it's ditnt look that big after all,
I ditnt worry the police, as it's still a issue less sice in Germany, and because you have to unlock the blade to open it, it shouldn't be a big problem..
Your SAK is only fully yours, when it bites you, or you opend a Trink of your joice whit it
SAKs i have: Huntsman Light (Red Transparent), Workchamp (Black), Wenger EvoGrip S557 (Red), Swisschamp XLT (Red Transparent).. Swisschamp (Blue Transparent) Cybertool L (Blue Celidor (custom scales) , Huntsman (Black Celidor) , Victorinox EvoGrip S557 (Red, but sadly lost in my house somewhere) Victorinox Delemont S17 and S57 ..  , waiting for: Swiza D09 Blue
