An inconvenient book?
on: December 21, 2007, 12:21:58 AM
Has anyone out there read "An Inconvenient Book" by Glenn Beck?  My wife bought me a copy and I read the book and I will have to say that it is a pretty good book.  It is funny (on the serious side) if you are fond of laughing at politics.  Anyone out there have thoughts on this book?

You and me both... check out the movie "Global Warming or Global Governance?" if you get the chance...

I think Glenn is entertaining... but he can be extremely hypocritical.  He claims to be a staunch Libertarian and wants to restore the US Constitution, yet he seems to be trying to derail Ron Paul's campaign every chance he gets...

Have you ever read anything by P.J.O'Rourke? Many years ago he was one of the better, funnier writers for the old National Lampoon, and now a sharply conservative writer.

Is our planet getting warmer?  Over the past few years (20 or so) yes.  But it has been a lot colder at times.  It is a cycle that has happened since the formation of this planet anyway.  I think that global warming is the agenda of the lefties to promote world government and soSmurfpillsm.  If you really think about it using global warming they could control the energy industry and therefore almost anything else.  If they had their way we would have to pay a "sin tax" for simply being alive and breathing air and producing more CO2.

I have not read any of O'Rourke's  writings.  I'll have to look some up.
