How about some pics of some of the places you've been and things you've seen?

Here are some pics from multiple offroading excursions to Colorado:

I must make a trip to Scotland.  Those shoreline pics are gorgeous.

This is what's known around my parts as the "Connector Train." It runs under a very old wooden bridge that is maybe 35 feet over the tracks, creates quite a bit of trembling and wind currents when is shoots underneath. Very fun to see at 6am in the morning after a late night.

Some pictures of a trail I ride.

The first, third and fourth pic is the  Pu'uhonua o Honaunau National Historical Park the Big Island, Hawaii.  The historical park preserves the site where, up until the early 19th century, Hawaiians who broke a kapu or one of the ancient laws against the gods could avoid certain death by fleeing to this place of refuge or "pu'uhonua". The offender would be absolved by a priest and freed to leave. Defeated warriors and non-combatants could also find refuge here during times of battle. The grounds just outside the Great Wall that encloses the pu'uhonua were home to several generations of powerful chiefs.

The fifth pic is also on the Big Island, on the way to Volcanos National Park.

Yeah, the Place of Refuge was really cool.  A Hawaiian could break kapu by just looking at one of the ruling class or by walking ahead of one, or eating before one.  The place of refuge came in handy, I would say.
